College Democrats react to Brady's prvatize state universities proposal

The College Democrats of Illinois responds to Senator Brady's Proposal to Privatize the University of Illinois
The College Democrats of Illinois has issued the following response to Senator Bill Brady's proposal to cut public funding from the University of Illinois

“It is appalling that State Senator Brady would propose privatizing the University of Illinois system,” said College Democrats of Illinois President Brexton Isaacs. “Access to public higher education is a key component of ensuring that students are able to afford college. We thought the proposed 31% cut from Governor Rauner was bad -- but it looks like Illinois Republicans are just getting started at dismantling our universities. These egregious cuts will hurt Illinois students and their families at a time that we should be looking for solutions to curb our student debt problem.”
